The complainant contacted the police themselves after being assaulted by a named man in an apartment in Borlänge. Two police patrols went to the scene and found the complainant outdoors. He had visible injuries and was taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigative measures led to the police quickly arresting a 35-year-old man suspected of assault.

The police have conducted a crime scene investigation in the relevant apartment, securing evidence and holding an interview with the complainant.

After the interview with the suspect, the prosecutor will take a stance on whether this person should be detained or released during the ongoing investigation.
