Alarm was received about a fire in a house between Sala and Ramnäs. The police were dispatched to the scene to initially assist the rescue service.

In connection with the fire, a person has died. Relatives of the residents in the affected house have been informed.

In order to be able to investigate the cause of the fire, a report of arson is being drawn up, and the site is cordoned off pending a technical examination.
