Police order a car to stop in Dingtuna, in Västerås. In connection with this, a situation arises where the driver, a man in his 60s, chooses not to follow the instruction. The driver instead continues to drive on and a pursuit is initiated.

The car drives at high speed from the police and several patrols are involved. After a while, a police patrol encounters the car in a ditch with the man in it.

The man is apprehended in accordance with the law on the apprehension of intoxicated persons, LOB, and is initially suspected of gross drunken driving.
