South of Kebnekaise mountain station, two men were reported missing on Monday evening.
Men, who were reported to have camped, had not returned home as planned on Monday.
The on-duty officer of the police made a decision on rescue services with the support of the LSO, the Act on Protection against Accidents. A police helicopter and mountain rescue were called out to search for the men.
The men were found dead in a tent just before midnight.
Next of kin were notified. The men are from Norrbotten.
A forensic medical examination will be conducted to try to establish the cause of death. There is currently no suspicion of a crime.
