The general assembly in Salem has been able to be carried out without disturbances that have affected the police operation.
Participants in the authorized public gathering have been given the opportunity to exercise their constitutionally protected rights to demonstrate and express their opinions.
The group that demonstrated against the authorized public gathering has also been given the opportunity to express their opinions.
- A complaint labeled violent riot has been filed in connection with several people trying to break through the police's restrictive line. No person has been arrested but documentation exists that will be used in the investigation.
- Ten people have been rejected in accordance with the Police Act 13c§, as they through their behavior disrupted public order.
- Eight foreign citizens have been taken into custody in accordance with the Police Act 11§, as they were considered a risk to public order and security. One person is being held in pre-trial detention pending a possible deportation decision.
- The police have filed a complaint labeled a crime against the public order act, in connection with an unauthorized public gathering. No suspect.
- Three police officers have been injured, all with minor injuries. Two of them have sought medical care. In one case, an investigation has been initiated into assault on a public official.
- The Christmas market on Rönninge Square has been able to take place without disruptions.
The public gathering was concluded at 18.30.
