Missing person found
The police have been searching for a 70-year-old man in the forests around Bottnaryd with a larger resource since the afternoon. The man had gotten lost and could not find his way home. The police were able to find the man with the help of systematic work, including drones, dog patrols, and police patrols.
It was a police patrol that systematically drove down smaller roads and eventually found the man. During the search operation, several police cars with blue lights and sirens were used to determine the direction the man was in by seeing if he could hear or see them. This was done at the same time as they had phone contact with the missing person.
With the help of triangulation of the man's phone, they could also get an idea of the direction the man could be in.
A decision was made to start the rescue service at 17:21. At 18:27, the man was found in good spirits.
