At half past seven last night, December 4,  we received information about some kind of fight in Hönsarvet.

Police were on the scene and it turned out that a person, a man in his 40s, was injured in this fight and the injury was so serious that he died. Relatives have been notified. 

A man in his 60s and a woman in her 50s  were arrested as suspects for murder. After initial questioning of them, a prosecutor made a decision that they should remain in custody and they are now detained.

New questioning of the suspects will be held today and the prosecutor will then make a decision whether they are to remain suspects.

The crime was committed outdoors and forensic technicians are finished at the scene and the area around the crime scene is cordoned off.

We will conduct a door-to-door search in connection with the crime scene today. Therefore, there will be a larger resource tied to this in the area today.

We are also conducting other questioning, going through surveillance cameras and similar according to routine.

There is no danger to the public due to this incident.
