The police have been informed about the attempted scams. The SMS appears to be from a financial institution and in the messages it may be stated that the individuals have made expensive purchases of various goods. Individuals who have received the SMS are also encouraged to call a telephone number.

Individuals who have received such a message and are uncertain should contact the relevant financial institution via their ordinary contact channels, do not call the number that appears in the SMS.
