December 24, 10:11, Hazardous object, Suspected, Nässjö

During the morning, the police are contacted about finding an unknown object on a train just north of Nässjö. At this point, we do not know if it is a sharp object, but it cannot be ruled out that the object is dangerous.

The train has now been completely stopped and is being emptied of passengers in the northern outskirts of Nässjö. We would like to urge the public to listen to and respect the police's directives at the scene. The police are cooperating with the train staff and emergency services where the traffic stop occurred. They will now work further to find out more about the current object. 

Update 11:15: The police on the scene have assessed the object as harmless. The national bomb protection, which was on its way to the scene, has made the same assessment. The object has been moved to a safe location outside the train. They now intend to let the train continue its journey shortly. 

Update 11:50: The train has left the station again.
