Update: Summary of the police's work during a concert in Luleå
The police's operation during the concert (Ronny and Ragge) at Södra hamnplan Luleå continued without any order disturbances on Saturday evening 18-22:30. The atmosphere was good, slightly high intoxication level, but nothing particularly noteworthy stood out. The evening's event did not result in any takeovers with the support of the law on the taking into custody of intoxicated persons (LOB), removals or reports from the police's side. The police have (related to the event) confiscated alcohol in the area, approximately 10 items, and issued a fine (fine) for disturbing behavior through loud music. From the police's side, we are satisfied that the event went well and cooperation with the organizer, security guards, and field workers from social services functioned well.
At closing time, the police had to close Södra hamnleden and divert traffic for approximately 10 minutes. The reason was that there was a risk of collision as people were walking straight out onto Södra hamnleden to get to the city center. The same thing happened at the previous festival, Splash.
For the rest of the evening/night, the police officers who worked during the operation at the concert continued to work in external service as there were many people in the city center. It is likely that the concert's visitors stayed in the center. The work performed was, among other things, related to a high intoxication level.
