The man is not conscious and is taken to hospital with serious injuries. It is unclear what happened and the location is cordoned off for technical examination. We have initiated an investigation regarding gross bodily harm but the charge may be changed or supplemented. The police are looking for witnesses to the incident and people are asked to call 114 14 if they have information to provide.

**The man is in his 40s and was dressed in a suit when he was found.

**The police investigation is continuing. No one is currently suspected in the case. The injured party, a man in his 40s, is still being treated in hospital.

The police are interested in observations of the man in the area around Lelångevägen near the entrance to Uddevalla Hospital on the night of Sunday 2026-08-09 between 02:00 and 05:00.
