Shortly before 7 pm on Friday evening, the police are contacted by the healthcare service after an ambulance picked up a seriously injured person in an industrial area in Fagersta.

The healthcare service suspected that the man was subjected to severe violence, including to the head.

An investigation into attempted murder has been initiated in order to be able to work on the case and to be able to rule out a crime.

A suspected crime scene is cordoned off pending a technical examination.

In the subsequent police work during the evening and night, three people are apprehended. These people will undergo questioning and will then be contacted by the prosecutor who will make a decision on possible detention.

The police currently have no update on the man's injury status.
