Under Saturday afternoon, police are alerted to a farm in the southern parts of Svenljunga municipality due to an accident involving a tractor and a young child. Exactly what happened is something that is still to be investigated. The child is seriously injured in connection with the event and is taken to hospital by ambulance helicopter but dies from its injuries. Relatives are informed.

Police have initiated an investigation regarding negligence in traffic and causing death to another person. It is an initial classification that may be adjusted depending on what emerges in the investigation. No one is currently suspected. The tractor is seized for technical examination.
