August 8, 07.39, Summary of the night, Jämtland County

The hours of 00-07, two people have been taken into custody for intoxication. The police have also carried out a number of checks on people and vehicles that have not resulted in any suspicion of a crime.

Here follows a selection of the night's events:

A 55-year-old man is arrested in Åre municipality suspected of having assaulted a woman he has a relationship with. The woman, who is awake and able to speak, is taken to medical care. When the man is arrested, there is also suspicion of violent resistance. The man is to be questioned and contact will be made with the prosecutor for a decision on whether the man should be detained or not.

00:03 Harassment/Provocation, Östersund
The police are contacted due to high music being played from a car in Odenslund. The car is found and a fine for disorderly conduct is issued.

A wildlife accident has been reported to the police during the night. There are no reports of personal injuries.
