August 5, 16.03, Explosion, Malmö

Several calls are coming in about a high explosion at an entrance to a store on Kaptensgatan in central Malmö. The police and rescue services are being dispatched and can confirm that something has exploded and possibly an object remains at the scene.

No person is believed to have been injured in connection with the explosion. There are damages to the glass and glass shards nearby.

Barriers will be set up and residents in the area are advised to stay indoors and not stand near the window until the object is checked.

The national bomb squad and forensic technicians have been called in.
