August 30, 00.07, Dangerous object, suspected, Malmö

Police are sent to Blåbärsgatan due to a suspected hazardous object. The object has been found in connection with a car parked in a carport. Residents in nearby houses are evacuated. 

National bomb protection is called to the scene. The object is found to be sharp. For unclear reasons, it has not detonated. The object is neutralized at the scene. 

Police have worked throughout the night, including door-to-door checks in the area and monitoring of surveillance cameras. In the investigation, they will look into possible threats against the residents, but this cannot be commented on at this early stage in the investigation.

At present, there is no suspect in the case. 

A report of attempted gross public destruction is drawn up.
