Witnesses have also heard bangs or banging sounds that they perceived to come from firearms.

When the police patrols arrived at the scene, two injured men were found in or in connection with the stairwell. One was estimated to have a gunshot wound. Both were awake and able to speak when they were taken to hospital for care.

The police have initiated an investigation into attempted murder.

A police operation is underway where investigative measures such as door-to-door questioning etc. are ongoing.

Parts of the stairwell are cordoned off and a technical examination will be carried out.
