Witnesses called the police regarding two men who were fighting in central Borlänge. A police patrol managed to locate the men who were trying to evade the patrol.

After having apprehended the men, information emerged that led the patrol to arrest one of them suspected of assault. In connection with the arrest, the man, who was intoxicated, put up strong resistance and attempted to harm the police officers without succeeding. The patrol managed to subdue the man and bring him to the police station.

The man is now suspected of assault, attempted violence against an official, and violent resistance.

After the interrogation, the prosecutor will make a decision on whether the man should be detained or released during the ongoing investigation.
