Over the past few days, several motorhomes and caravans have been exposed to theft at night using similar methods. The perpetrator has gained access to the motorhome by successfully opening the door lock on the driver's side and then seized goods, primarily smaller items such as mobile phones, smartwatches, and cash.

The thefts have occurred at campsites and parking areas in the Gothenburg area but also in Fyrbodal and Älvsborg, and the perpetrators may also be active in other areas. It appears that primarily foreign motorhomes and caravans have been targeted.

The police urge motorhome and caravan owners to be aware if there are unknown individuals in the vicinity of their vehicles.

Do not store any items in easy-to-reach locations inside the motorhome/caravan. Call the police on 114 14, or 112 in an emergency, if you see anything that appears suspicious or if a crime is in progress.
