Two guards press the alarm button after a man, who had stolen various goods in a shop on S:T Olofsgatan in Uppsala, made resistance and ran from the scene.

A number of police resources are alerted and near Mikaelsgården the police can apprehend the man who also makes resistance at that time. The man is restrained with both handcuffs and leg shackles.

The police are investigating the incident as robbery in the case of self-defence, assault on an officer, and violent resistance.

No person is believed to have suffered physical harm in connection with the incident.
