August 19, 17.00, Murder/homicide, Attempt, Helsingborg

Police are called to an apartment in the northern parts of Helsingborg due to an alarm about an injured person. The police are now on the scene and gathering information about the incident. At present, there is no further information.  

Update 17:22 The injured person is an elderly woman and she has been taken away by ambulance, awake and able to speak. The police are still at the scene and gathering information. 

Update 17:36 There are suspicions that the woman has been subjected to violence and the relevant apartment is cordoned off to enable a forensic investigation to take place. 

Update 19:48 A 35-year-old man has been arrested and he is not unknown to the woman. A duty prosecutor will be contacted for further decisions in the case and the charge is currently attempted murder.
