Police are called to Emporia Shopping Centre after an alarm about a theft in a store. Security guards have intervened in the theft and it has been chaotic at the scene. The police have arrived and several people are arrested.

Update 16:25 According to initial reports, a security guard was hit by a car in connection with the arrested individuals trying to escape. The security guard is awake and able to speak and will be taken to hospital by ambulance.

Update 16:32 One person was initially arrested in connection with the theft. Three more suspects left the scene and in connection with them leaving a parking lot in a car, a security guard was hit by a car. The people in the car are also arrested.
