The police are currently searching for a man in his 80s who at 11.30 on Monday got into his car in the Vetterstorp district in Västerås to drive to a close relative in Borås.

Later on Monday evening, the man had still not arrived in Borås, and the man's phone was also not reachable. On Tuesday morning, the man had still not arrived, or been in contact, and relatives then chose to contact the police.

The police in the Middle region have been in contact with the police in the East, Bergslagen and West regions, which have all alerted the vehicle. A tracking of the man's mobile phone has also been made, which pointed to the man being in Boxholm.

The police are now appealing to the public for help in finding the man and his car, which is a light grey-silver coloured Volvo V70 from the 2003 model year. The car's registration number ends in 27 (XXX X27), and the car is characterised by a crash damage on the left front and rear doors.

When the man left, he was wearing a white T-shirt with some kind of print on it. He also had green shorts, grey or brown sandals, and a bag with packing.
