A bus with approximately 50 passengers is standing still on national road 40 and blocking the traffic. The bus has driven into the median strip. No one is injured. The police are on the scene, expect significant traffic disruption in the coming time.

14:15 The bus is standing just west of Bottnaryd.

14:16 The bus is therefore heading in the direction of Jönköping. 

14:18 It appears that the accident is due to the driver being affected by illness. Passengers have helped to stop the bus. 

14:37 There is no suspicion of traffic offense. The bus will be towed and a replacement bus will be arranged for the passengers.

14:39 The bus driver has been awake and able to speak but is accompanying an ambulance for medical care.
