The search for the missing man in Arjeplog is being concluded.
During the afternoon of August 10, the police were contacted regarding a missing man in his 60s. The man was last seen on Wednesday, August 6, in Svannäs.
The police have been searching for the man in various ways with patrols, police dogs, helicopters, and drones together with the Defence Forces/home guard and mountain rescue since August 10. Extensive investigations have been conducted in the search area without the man being found. Since the police have carried out all the search measures deemed relevant, the active search efforts were concluded in the evening of August 15. Relatives have been informed of this.
The search may, however, be resumed if new information is received. Tips and observations regarding the man are therefore still gratefully accepted.
The case is now being handed over to the Norrbotten police district for further handling.
The police would like to extend a big thank you to all those who have provided tips and to those who have helped with the search efforts.
