Alarm call came in about smoke development in a ventilation duct outside a multi-unit residential building in Jakobsberg. The police were dispatched to assist the rescue service in the extinguishing work and to investigate possible crimes.

The rescue service was able to quickly extinguish the fire. The residents of the house did not need to be evacuated and no person was injured. It is unclear how the fire started.

The police have filed a report on gross negligence. At present, there is no suspected perpetrator.
