A person struck a police officer during intervention.
Patrol is ordered to a training facility in central Uppsala after conversations about a theft from a locker in the dressing room. Among other things, a pouch for earphones and a bank card were taken from the locker.
A short time later, the police command center receives several calls from Vasaparken regarding a loud and agitated person who is disturbing the public order.
The patrol is sent to the location for control.
When the patrol arrives, the man tries to leave the area by running away. The patrol catches up to the man, who then resists and delivers blows to the patrol.
The police use an ECD (electronic control device) to get the man under control.
The man is apprehended in accordance with the Law on the Exercise of Police Authority (LOB) and is suspected of violent resistance and violence against a public official. During the man's check, the seized goods from the training facility were also found. The man is therefore also suspected of theft.
No person is reported to have suffered serious injuries in connection with the intervention.
