Under the evening and night, a annual cruising took place in Vetlanda. 
It has been a lot of people on the move, which in turn has led to some police interventions. Overall, it has been a relatively quiet event despite a lot of people on the move.

A lot of people gathered later in the evening at a parking lot near a gas station.
On the spot, some disorderly conduct occurred in the form of several minor fights that resulted in, among other things, several reports of assault. No one was seriously injured and the events could be quickly brought under control by police patrols on the spot. As the situation and intoxication level escalated later in the evening, a restricted area was set up in accordance with police law paragraph 24. This means that the area around the gas station was limited to prevent disorderly conduct. 

Police have had a larger deployment of resources to handle the event. They have worked a lot with visibility and have traveled both on foot and by car, including motorcycles and police cars. Drones have also been flown over central parts of Vetlanda. The disorderly conduct that occurred has quickly been brought under control by the patrols on the spot. 

Regarding interventions, it has included, among other things, fines for traffic offenses, one case of harassment and several cases of assault after fights that occurred.

About 40 people have received fines for various types of traffic offenses. 
8 vehicles were used as a platform for on-site inspection, i.e. inspection on the spot 
1 minor traffic accident without personal injuries occurred. A driver in their 20s was fined for not having adjusted the distance to the preceding vehicle. 
1 person is suspected of illegal driving
1 person is suspected of gross illegal driving
1 person is believed to have been subjected to harassment in connection with a fight. 
6 cases of assault have occurred. One of which is described below. 

22:51 Central Vetlanda 
A fight between several people occurred at a parking lot near a gas station where many people were gathered later in the evening. In connection with the fight, a person is believed to have assaulted another by, among other things, taking a chokehold. Police patrols on the spot were able to separate the parties quickly and one person is suspected of assault against two others, as well as harassment. The suspect is in their 20s.
