Police regional command center has handled over 70 cases related to Östergötland County during the night between 22:00 and 07:00.
Violent resistance, Linköping
At 03:30, the police are alerted to the inner city of Linköping due to a fight between several people outdoors. When the police arrive at the scene, the involved parties have dispersed. Nearby, a man is found who the patrol chooses to check. The man, who is in his 25-year-old age range, resists and the police need to use OC spray, stun gun, and handcuffs to gain control over the man. The man is taken into custody according to the law on intoxicated persons (LOB) and is suspected of violence against an official, violent resistance, and minor drug offense of personal use.
Heat goods, Norrköping
At 06:00, the police are alerted to a residence in Ektorp in Norrköping where a resident has seen a bag standing in a stairwell. The caller suspects that there may be a dangerous object in the bag. The patrol goes to the scene and checks the bag, which turns out to contain personal belongings. The bag is taken to the police station in Norrköping as heat goods.
Traffic accident, Söderköping
At 23:40, SOS is alerted about a traffic accident on regional road 210 outside Söderköping. A car has swerved to avoid an elk and then driven into a hill. The car is standing traffic hazardously and needs to be towed from the scene. The driver is a man in his 20-year-old age range who is awake and able to talk but is taken to the hospital by ambulance. No crime is suspected in connection with the incident.
