Under the evening of April 24, a conversation took place about two people not having returned after a trip to Kebnekaise. The police's on-duty commanding officer therefore made a decision about rescue services in accordance with LSO 4:1 and mountain rescue personnel, etc., were sent out to search for the missing.

Due to poor weather overnight, rescue personnel were unable to reach Kebnekaise. At 11:35 today, April 25, mountain rescue personnel reported that two deceased individuals had been found near Halspasset.

Relatives of the two deceased have been informed about the incident.

The police will investigate the incident as a workplace accident.
