Police have received tips that someone has placed coins on several mailboxes belonging to residential addresses on Artistvägen in Bålsta.

Police suspect that the purpose of the coins is to prepare for a break-in. The method has been used before and, in addition to coins, stones and wooden trunks are usually placed to detect if residents do not appear to be at home.

Given this, the police want to warn and advise residents in these areas, and nearby, to be vigilant about people and cars they do not recognize.

If you see something unusual, you should call the police on 114 14. If it concerns an ongoing crime, you call 112 and ask to speak with the police.
