Several conversations from anxious private individuals have been received by the police's contact center (PKC) regarding e-mail about paying traffic fines to the Swedish Police Authority. There is also a link in the e-mail that the scammers want you to click on in order to complete your payment, the sender comes from different e-mail accounts.

These are false and the police advise against clicking on the link.

The Swedish Police Authority never contacts private individuals via e-mail or phone to reach out to private individuals.
