During the day, six attempts at fraud have occurred in the Gothenburg area. The common denominator is that all affected individuals were born in the 1940s. They have received an SMS from a cleaning company regarding a cleaning time. Later, a person has called and stated that a cleaning time has been booked via a trustee. So far, there are no completed cases of fraud.

The general warning is to be critical. If someone you do not know calls and you become uncertain, hang up the phone or ask to be called back on a number that you yourself look up. This applies regardless of whether the person claims to be a close relative or from a bank, a company, or an authority. Never leave out credit cards, codes, or valuable items to anyone who claims to want to pick them up. There are no banks or serious companies that act in that way. Neither the police.
