A man contacted the police on Wednesday after seeing his missing bicycle for sale. The bicycle is said to have gone missing several months ago, but no police report was filed at the time.

After checking, it turned out that the person now selling the bicycle had previously turned it in to the police as a found item. Since no one picked it up within the statutory time limit, the bicycle became their property.

The original owner therefore had the opportunity to buy the bicycle back.

The police remind everyone of the importance of always reporting thefts/losses to the police to facilitate potential recoveries.
