Under the afternoon, a woman in Nyköping contacts the police after being subjected to some form of fraud. A person unknown to her had taken contact via phone and then claimed to represent, or have some connection to the Police. During the conversation, the person asked the woman what she possessed of valuable items, and claimed that these somehow had to be insured. After the phone call, someone came to the woman's home and seized both her bank card and various valuable jewelry.

The Police warn - Hang up if you are contacted by someone who makes this type of attempt. Remember that police personnel would never contact you in this way. Scammers are unfortunately often skilled, empathetic, and persistent. Do not trust the person calling, even if they seem credible and have personal information about you. Also, remember not to let unknown people into your home.
