A number of inexplicable forest and terrain fires have occurred in the Kristinehamn local police district since 1:13 pm on April 17. It mainly concerns fires in Ölme (Kristinehamn) and Lungsund (Storfors).

The police suspect that these fires may have been set and now want to receive observations from the public who have been in and around these areas during the day. The fires have occurred with short intervals and within a limited geographical area.
