Police alarm to an area east of Malmö where a woman in her 30s has been assaulted by a man who left the scene in a car. The woman is taken to hospital by ambulance and the police immediately start a search operation for the man and the car. The patrol sees the car on Highway 101 and after a short pursuit, the car turns over near Jägersro traffic circle. The man is taken to hospital and is arrested on suspicion of assault. A wrecker is ordered to the car, which is seized, and also the police car is towed from the scene. No police officer was physically injured in connection with the incident.

The arrested man is being treated at the hospital and is, in addition to assault, also suspected of gross negligence in traffic and driving under the influence of drugs.
