Immediately after 3:00 pm, the police were alerted to an apartment in Hageby in Norrköping due to a suspected assault. On the scene, several people were found in an apartment, as well as a man who was running from the police. Several citizens helped the police by pointing out the direction the man had run.

About a few minutes later, the man was found on a nearby street. The man, who is in his mid-twenties, was arrested on suspicion of assault of a normal degree against a woman he has a relationship with. The man is also suspected of illegal threats against the woman.
