SOS alarm reports that several vehicles are involved in a traffic accident on E18 at Tpl Bergmotet in Karlstad. A vehicle is on fire.

Update:

Traffic is severely affected by the traffic accident, but traffic is flowing east towards Stockholm, while traffic heading in the opposite direction towards Oslo is slower and according to reports, very slow-moving.

The rescue service has extinguished the fire.

Investigative measures are being taken by police personnel on the scene, including interviews and documentation. Three vehicles are involved in the accident, a truck and two passenger cars.

A preliminary investigation has been initiated with a charge of gross negligence in traffic, the basis for this being that numerous calls have been made to the police stating that a vehicle was traveling towards traffic on E 18 in the area before the collision occurred.
