Reports came in about a 75-year-old woman who received an SMS from someone claiming to be from a pharmacy. In the SMS, there was a number that the woman called, and she was subsequently connected to someone who claimed to be from a bank. As a result, the woman was swindled out of money.

The police were dispatched to the scene and a report of fraud and attempted fraud was filed.

The police want to remind people that never to disclose sensitive information or use bank ID on behalf of an unknown person.
