The woman received a text message from a sender who claimed to be from a car rental company. When the couple calls the number and informs them that they have not rented any cars, they are asked which insurance company they have. At that point, they are connected to another person who claims to represent the insurance company.

After that, a person comes to the couple's home and they hand over valuable items, bank cards, and codes to the person.
