Alarm is received about some form of fire in a multi-family house in Motala. Rescue services and police are on the scene. There is smoke development in one of the apartments and extinguishing work is ongoing. A work with evacuating other residents in the building has been initiated.

It is too early to say what caused the fire.

At present, there are no reports of injured persons.

13:34 The police have set up cordons around the building and urge the public to respect these and ensure that emergency vehicles can reach and leave the building.

13:35 The police are working to create a situation report of what has occurred and this includes interviewing witnesses.

13:42 A gathering point for residents will be arranged nearby in cooperation with the municipality. There are no reports of anyone being injured.
