Below follows a selection of last night's matters in Värmland.
Karlstad, 23:39. Drunk Driving.
Patrol stops a vehicle and conducts a check on national road 61/62. The driver, a man in his 40s, is suspected of drunk driving and is taken for a blood test.
Kristinehamn, 00:52. Drug Offense.
Police checks a person in Kristinehamn. The person, a man in his 25s, is suspected of minor drug offense for personal use and is taken for a blood test.
Karlstad, 01:36. Robbery.
Police receives a call about a man who has been assaulted by two people in central Karlstad. The people, two men in their 20s, have taken the man's belongings before fleeing the scene. Several witnesses saw the incident and police got good descriptions of the suspects, who were arrested and detained for robbery. The victim, a man in his 65s, reportedly received several blows and got a bump on the head. He refused medical care.
Säffle, 01:39. Theft.
A caller reports that a person was seen inside a grocery store. The person took items and left the scene. Police arrived at the scene and confirmed that it was a break-in, but it's unclear what was taken. A man in his 25s is suspected in the matter.
Karlstad, 03:43. Vandalism.
A man in his 30s is suspected of vandalism after breaking a window to a residence in Rud. He then drove away but was stopped by police and is also suspected of drunk driving.
Aside from the above, police have conducted a number of checks on people and vehicles without incident. There have been handled cases regarding mental health and also received a few calls about intoxicated individuals.
