Due to a grassy area, as large as a half football pitch, starting to burn after what was initially intended to be a controlled grass fire, a patrol has been on site in Sutterhöjden, Molkom.

An investigation into reckless conduct has been initiated. The patrol has held interviews on the scene, taken photographs, and spoken with emergency services personnel on site, among other things.

Similarly, a report of reckless conduct has been filed in connection with a larger fire on a field in Mangskog at 13:30. In this case as well, a controlled fire has spread further.

Given that there have been some fires in Värmland over the past few days, the public is urged to read through the emergency services' guidelines. Also, take weather and wind into consideration.
