Police are being dispatched to E18 between Köping and Häljeby due to a traffic accident in a westerly direction.

One person has been injured in connection with the accident and an ambulance is on the scene, unclear extent of injuries.

During the alarm call, information emerged that a vehicle involved in the accident had fled the scene. This vehicle is found by police who are conducting a vehicle stop.

There is currently limited access to the accident site and the site will be closed during the salvage operation. Police are on the scene and directing traffic.
