Several drivers report a lorry driving erratically on E22 near Hörby, heading north. On several occasions, the lorry drives into the median strip, but continues its journey. A fellow driver testifies that his car was hit by objects that flew off the lorry.

A number of police patrols are sent to the area. Patrols signal to the driver to stop, but he continues driving. A police car is almost hit by the lorry.

The lorry is stopped near Kristianstad and the driver, a 65-year-old man, is arrested. He is suspected of driving under the influence of drugs, attempted assault on a public official and reckless driving.
