Phone calls came to the police from drivers regarding a man who was cycling erratically on E18 near Väse in Karlstad Municipality. The man is said to have veered out into the traffic lane, where there is high speed. A police patrol was ordered out to ensure the man's life and health. 
The man could be confirmed to be intoxicated and was taken into custody with the support of the Law on the Taking into Custody of Intoxicated Persons - so that no accident would occur. 
The man, who is in his 45s, was also suspected of minor narcotics possession.
