The police in Region Väst are urging increased vigilance for residential burglaries after several cases of break-ins occurred when the residents were found in the garden.

Several residential break-ins have occurred over the past few weeks while residents were in their gardens. The perpetrators gained entry through open or unlocked doors and primarily seized jewelry, watches, and other small items before quickly leaving the scene.

Increased vigilance is now urged, even when at home in and outside of one's residence. Minimise the risk of being targeted by locking doors, even if you are in your garden, and alert the police immediately upon suspicion of ongoing crime.

If you are a victim of a break-in, it is essential that you do not enter the residence or touch anything. Always call the police first, and we will assess whether a technical examination should be conducted to secure any potential evidence.
