A police patrol from the traffic division reported the rider after spotting an electric scooter speeding while on patrol.
The police were able to establish that the electric scooter was travelling at 30 km/h, while its permitted speed is 20 km/h.
The driver, a man in his mid-50s, was reported for driving a class 1 moped without a licence, as he did not have a licence for the vehicle.
The electric scooter was seized for further investigation.
