Here follow a selection of the night's events:

01.36 Attempt at theft, Umeå:
Police patrol is ordered to an unmanned grocery store on Röbäck where an alarm has gone off. A man has entered and taken goods and then tried to leave without paying. An interrogation is held with the man and a report regarding an attempt at theft is drawn up.

06.45 Traffic accident, Umeå:
Police patrol is ordered to Verkstadsgatan where a passenger car is said to have skidded into a traffic sign. There are no reports of personal injuries and no suspicion of a crime in connection with the accident.

Other:**
A person has been taken in for sampling after suspicion of a narcotics crime.

Police have also carried out checks on people and vehicles that have not resulted in any suspicion of a crime.
